The third annual Madison New Music Festival will occur this August with concerts at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Bethel Lutheran Church, and the Robinia Courtyard. More details available at www.madisonnewmusic.org.
The Madison Area Youth Chamber Orchestra has commissioned Zachary to write a new piece, "Semblance," for string orchestra. Read more about the program here.
My piece "what have you to do with serious things?" will be performed at a Juilliard Composers Concert by soprano Joanie Hofmeyr, pianist Adam Rothenberg, and violist Jeremy Kienbaum.

Started in 2016 by Madison-born composer Zachary Green and co-founders Joseph Connor and K.C. Peck, the Madison New Music Festival aims to strengthen Madison’s cultural vitality through the celebration of contemporary works. The festival will present brand new pieces by the world’s leading living composers, shine a spotlight on new music being created in Wisconsin, and finally, share underplayed classics of the contemporary repertoire with the Madison community.
